Overview
The Physical Education Faculty has its focus on hauora, of the overall development and well-being of the student.  This encompasses the physical, social, spiritual and emotional well-being of our teaching, in the physical, health and outdoor media.

 

At junior level, learning is achieved through movement, skills, developing relationships and problem solving activities.

 

At senior level, the focus is on providing knowledge, skills and understanding for possible career pathways.

Career Pathways
Graduates of Physical Education have a variety of career paths to choose from.  These are from any physical environment, such as the fire services, defence forces, police to professional employment as physiotherapists, teachers and sports related fields.

Special Activities
The calendar is full of events and activities which students participate in, from inter-canoe sports to regular sporting games, with a large variety of individual and team sports to choose from.  Students also have the opportunity to represent their sport at regional, national and international level
