PTA
Tauhara College has for many years had a strong active PTA. We usually meet every 4-6 weeks during the school year on a selected Tuesday evening. Mr Gould, or one of the senior management are always present at these meetings to give us an update on the activities within the College during the month and what is coming up. Mr Gould is always happy to answer any queries or concerns anyone may have.

Over the last five years Tauhara College has become well known within the local community as a strong community volunteer group and we now volunteer for several International events, such as The Ironman, The Round the Lake Cycle Challenge and Oxfam. The PTA receives a donation for this volunteer work and then this money is redistributed within the College for things like computers, data projectors or to support students or groups within the College. We try to involve the current students as much a possible in these activities as this will help develop them into our community's future volunteer group.

The PTA also has a presence at some school activities - evenings like the Enrolment night and the Senior and Junior prize giving. We provide light refreshments on these occasions.

Some people choose not to attend our meetings but receive the minutes via e-mail so they are kept updated with the school activities, but are able to respond to any requests for assistance.
