Golf at Tauhara College enjoys good participation by our students who are all inspired by the recent success of Rotorua golfer, Danny Lee who now plays in P.G.A events in the United States.
The yearly programme involves:
- A Beginner’s Clinic where new golfers can learn the basics of the game. This clinic is held at the Taupo Golf Club and most students opt to join the club afterwards to become part of the Junior Programme.
- Pennant Play against local schools (usually Term 1)
- Regular tournament play throughout the Bay of Plenty at courses such as Kawerau, Lake View, Mt Maunganui and Te Puke
Students also have the chance to play in International Events such as the World Schools Golf Tournament.
