The culture of Tauhara College is one of many nationalities, but a combined whanau aspect permeates throughout the school.
Kapa Haka is strong and more members are welcome anytime. We perform at the Tuwharetoa Festival. This is a yearly event, the Multi-Cultural Festival, this is a bi-annual event, and we do performances for anyone who contacts us. Powhiri are a common event in this school also.
The wharenui and its surroundings give the learning aspect of Maori culture to all who want it and is always open to anyone.
The Social Studies Department hold a Year 9 hui where they are taught the culture of the school.
Carving is part of the Maori language course.
