Work out the SEASONALITY of the data.
Insert a column that numbers 1,2,3 .... in front of the timeline.
The column header can be called INDEX.
Add the CMM column next to the RAW data column.
CMM - centered moving mean.
Add the ISE column next to the CMM column.
ISE - Individual seasonal effects
ISE = RAW - CMM
Graph the RAW and CMM vs INDEX.
Add a trendline based on CMM.
Get both the equation and the R² value.
From the ISE find your seasonal effects (SE).
Calculate and show your FORECASTS
FORECAST = TREND + SE
Discussion of whether forecasts are appropriate.
