Greg Chan (Chair)

Greg currently has a daughter attending Tauhara College and another at Intermediate on her way to College. It is my firm belief that the opportunity to support my children by supporting their school is one of the best opportunities I can have as a parent. Having 
lived in Taupo for over 20 years, Greg was raised in Raetihi, just to the south of Mt Ruapehu.

With a mixed general management background and having worked with large international and national companies: RJ Reynolds, Cerebos Greggs, KFC (NZ) Limited, Robert Harris, in roles ranging from multi unit chain and franchise operations to special research /construction projects, as well as having worked with many small family owned commercial enterprises in a consulting role, Greg has vast experience to drawn upon. Greg also has experience in
 quasi local government (Taupo Electricity Ltd) and rather more central government experience for ministries (MOC, DIA, OTSP) whilst managing the Wairakei Tourist Park here in Taupo. I have been involved with Treaty negotiations with the Crown regarding local claims.

Greg is currently self employed, working with a range of local companies here in Taupo and has business interests in Australia. He pursues sporting /recreational interests that revolve around the outdoors and opportunities that Taupo and the region have to offer.

Anne Battersby (Deputy Chair)

Anne and her husband are proud parents of two daughters at Tauhara College.

Qualified in Chemistry and Community Nutrition, Anne has worked as an industrial chemist, set up and run a café and catering business, and currently works as a nutritionist in the Taupo district. Anne offers a broad skills base, with areas of strength in communication and organisation.Anne is a strong believer that all students deserve to have access to an education that will assist them achieve their personal best here in Taupo.

Bryce Gliddon (Staff Representative)

Bryce is Head of Faculty, Technology and is an experienced teacher with more than thirty years of teaching experience. Bryce brings to the Board of Trustees an extensive knowledge of school management systems, curriculum and property matters.
Bryce is married with three children who are all ex-students of Tauhara College, and have progressed on to gain university degrees in their chosen fields.  From a building background, Bryce has current interests in fishing, water sports and as a classic motorsport competitor. 

Alan Moss

Alan is employed as a Planning Manager for District Council and offers over thirty years experience in fiscal management, budgeting, staff supervision, training, coaching, mentoring, counselling and project management.
Married with two teenage sons, Alan describes himself as being highly motivated, down to earth, honest, approachable and a team player.
Alan is prepared to dedicate the time and energy necessary to be a fully effective and positive member of the Board of Trustees.

Rose Stevens 

Rose and her family have lived in Taupo for 18 years and currently have a daughter in Year 11 at Tauhara College. Rose has experience in a number of community organisations and has been involved in supporting a variety of sporting teams. Currently Rose is coaching tennis and netball.

Employed at a local primary school as Executive Officer, Rose has an excellent understanding of the financial and administrative aspects of schools.

Rose describes herself as having a positive and pro active approach, and comments that “Tauhara has a lot to offer our students. The staff are a talented, hard working team who believe in success for all students.”


Joshua Tahana (Student Representative)

A Year 13 student, Joshua describes himself as a mature and responsible young adult, with a determined and proactive character. His position as part time Duty Manager in a local business demonstrates these qualities.

Joshua is an approachable and friendly person and is keen to effectively convey ideas from fellow students.

Joshua feels the role of Student Representative would further extend his knowledge of governance, and give him experience that would be very helpful in the business world.

Jo Wisniewski
Jo and her family have resided in Taupo for the past 16 years and have a daughter currently at Tauhara College. An active member of the college’s fundraising group, Jo describes herself as a positive, pro active, results focused person with the ability to get things done. Jo’s goal is to see Tauhara College as a place where the students and staff are happy, successful and the community is positively involved.
